Our new wood mala includes 108 natural wood beads with lava rock spacers that are hand strung on black cord.  Wood mala beads are great for counting many different mantras, prostrations, and circumambulations.  A brass dorje charm and two small lava rock beads finish the mala.  Symbolically, a dorje represents the 'thunderbolt of enlightenment.'

The healing power of wooden prayer beads is often in their scent, which is released and revived with usage.  Wood also provides stability and grounds mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Lava rock is known for its grounding properties and is wonderful for calming the emotions.  It is created from the center of the Earth and therefore is fantastic for stabilizing and grounding the root chakra.

Mala measures approximately 33 inches around.  Wood beads are about 8mm, lava rock spacers are 10mm.  Dorje charm measures about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide.  Made in Nepal.
