• During our 2015 trip to Nepal, we met with a group that makes hand fired clay statues and incense burners.
• We visited the shop and loved the people and products, including this handcrafted clay elephant incense burner.  It features holes for both Tibetan and Japanese style incense.
• Elephants shown with an upturned trunk are known to represent good luck. 

The main characteristics of the elephant are strength and steadfastness.  It is also one of the animals included in the Buddhist story of the Four Friends.  A creature of great strength and size, yet capable of amazing tenderness and intelligence.
