From our DharmaShop curated collection, this mala was hand selected from an antique Bodhi Seed seller just outside of the Boudhanath temple. Here you can see monks from nearby monasteries meditating with similar mala beads.
Collected from the Kavrepalanchok District— one of the only places in Nepal to produce Bodhi seeds—this mala comes from a family who has traded and treasured these beads for generations. Kavrepalanchok is also the hometown of the head of our DharmaShop Nepal team!
Restrung in recent years on golden cord, this mala is a tool and teacher for those seeking a companion for deep spiritual work. The subtle specking, the organic sheen, the individuality of each seed, these are the marks of age, authenticity, and history.
Mala measures approximately 39" around.
Beads are ~10-11mm. Guru bead is ~15-16mm.
Comes with a DharmaShop keepsake bag!
