This White Tara statue is entirely handmade in Nepal by a 5th generation crafting family. It is finely detailed and much of the body and lotus is gilded with gold plating. The face is hand painted and comes wrapped for protection.
Each bronze statue is made using the lost wax method, which takes considerable time and skill. After casting, each statue is hand detailed and carved by master craftsmen and the face and body are hand painted with gold leaf.
White Tara is the embodiment of healing, compassion, and wisdom. With her seven eyes she sees all suffering and has the wisdom and guidance the help you through your practice. She is often referred to as the 'swift Tara' as well as she is known for bringing quick relief to the suffering.
