This exquisite 13 inch tall Green Tara Buddha statue is handmade in Kathmandu, Nepal by our master statue artist Meenu Shakya her 5th generation crafting family.  You can see her painting a statue like this one in the film from our 2015 trip to Nepal.  We are the sole distributer of Meenu Shakya's work in the USA.  This is a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece statue.

This Green Tara is carved entirely by hand, then cast using the lost wax method.  Over 8 artists work on carving, making wax molds, pouring hot bronze, and hand painting the gold faces and eyes on a statue like this.  It takes Meenu Shakya months, and sometimes years, to complete a statue with such intricate hand painted details.  Note the extraordinary painted imagery that decorates this exquisite statue.  We are so proud to support traditional artists and this is one of their true master works.
