I rarely sell ancient dzi beads on our website. This year I have found some spectacular dzi beads and with the price of dzi beads going up so much this year I was happy to have been able to collect any at all!
There has been a lot of speculation about this bead, I wore it to Tucson this year to get feedback from the bead community and some thought it might be ancient, I personally believe it is modern, made in the last 25 years but it is simply stunning and I recently saw modern beads sold for over $20K.
This bead has been in my collection for over 15 years. The uneven ends show agate banding and the colors and cinnabar spots are stunning up close.
